Nativity
We took a bit of time out to record this piece from the archive for you. It is a one take, warts and all, version of a song called Nativity, or season song. The eagle eyed among you will spot that the seasons are out of order but it seemed fitting to start in winter this time of year! The lyrics are open to interpretation but illustrate a few key moments in the nativity story, and specifically Herod's thoughts and actions around the birth of Jesus.
It features all the usual suspects with a wonderful Cor Anglais solo by Wendy and piano and bells from Colin.
Enjoy - and Seasons Greetings to you all!

Nativity (Season Song)
When Winter comes a-walking,
Says “Step outside with me,
Let’s go season-stalking:
Let it freeze,
Let it freeze.”
Hard on the heels of Autumn,
“I will make him mine,
There’ll be celebrations!
Bells will chime
Bells will chime.”
And face to face with Summer
“I will stare him down,
And in the fading sunlight
Take his crown,
Take his crown.”
Witness the birth of Springtime
“See the infant drown
I hold him under water
Make no sound
Make no sound
Make no ...”
